Telecom operators will need to shut down 5G services in high-frequency bands in and around airports following restrictions imposed by the Dept of Telecom at the request of the civil aviation ministry
Restricting 5G Usage Around Airports May Be An Over-Reaction, Not Warranted By Indian Conditions.

Telecom department has asked mobile services providers not to supply 5G services in airport passenger areas now, for fear that they may affect aircraft altimeters.
While problem exists in US, where 5G frequentest are conterminous to aeronautics systems, India has allocated 5G diapason that's at a safe separation.
TRAI, COAI've assured there's no problem from 5G operation for Indian aeronautics.
The Indian Department of Telecommunications( fleck) is known to have asked the three main mobile service providers Airtel, Jio and Vodafone- Idea — to desist from creating structure that would affect in guests enjoying 5G services around Indian airfields.
This may prove to be a significant constraint that will restate into an abbreviation of service to mobile phone druggies who are also air trippers
who may lose 5G connections when they're inside Indian airfields.
Telecom drivers will need to shut down 5G services in high- frequence bands in and around airfields following restrictions assessed by the Department of Telecom at the request of the civil aeronautics ministry, according to sources.
Grounded on buffer and safety zone details handed by the aeronautics ministry, the fleck has asked telecom drivers to not install 5G base stations in the3.3-3.6 Ghz band in the area of2.1 kilometres from both ends of the runway and 910 measures from the centre line of the runway of Indian airfields with immediate effect.
" Telecom drivers will need to shut down 5G service in the3.3-3.6 Ghz band only in and around airfields grounded on the order. It's a temporary restriction. The services can be restored after DGCA( Directorate General of Civil Aviation) ensures that altimeters at all aircraft have been replaced. DGCA has not participated any timeline for completing the relief exercise," a source told PTI.

Airtel is the only telecom driver that has installed 5G services at select airfields, including at Patna, Bengaluru, Pune, Varanasi and Nagpur.
The fleck notice dated November 29 has asked telecom drivers to cock down 5G base stations to avoid hindrance of 5G signals with that of altimeters-- a device which helps aviators maintain the asked height of the aircraft.
The fleck in the notice said that DGCA is anticipated to complete the altimeter relief exercise in a visionary and time- bound manner.
fleck has requested DGCA to give a timeline for relief of radio altimeters and its pollutants with a sharp cut- off date.
" Further, DGCA should communicate geo- equals of four corners of all the airports where similar limitations or restrictions are needed to be placed on 5G systems, within 30 days from issue of this letter," the notice dated November 29 said.
